Gifts have been made in memory of the following individuals

Chuck Boyd – Chuck Boyd (deceased 2025) served RV dealers for more than 25 years, playing a key role inmember recruitment and supporting dealers in his important role as RVDADealer Services Manager. He was known throughout the industry as a champion for dealers and the RV retail industry, and in many ways as the face of RVDA.

Jaime Pais – Jaime Pais (deceased 2024) was a senior director of product management at Protective. Well-known in RV insurance industry circles, she not only had a passion for the work that she did, she enjoyed the relationships with those she worked with at her home office, corporate office, and throughout the industry.

Dan Pearson – Dan Pearson (deceased 2023), CEO of PleasureLand RV Centers in St. Cloud, MN, served as RV Dealers Association (RVDA) chairman of the board in 1993-94, was a member of the RVDA board of delegates, vice chairman of the RV Learning Center, and served as co-chairman of the Go RVing Coalition. He was inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame in 2018. He also received RVDA’s James B. Summers Award in 2001 and the association’s Titan Award in 2023 (posthumously).

Rex Floyd – Rex Floyd (deceased 2017) of Floyd’s Recreational Vehicles in Norman, OK, is a founding member of RVDA and the family remains active in the association. He served as the association’s president in 1980-81. Rex was inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame in 2010.

Jerry Greer – In addition to serving as RVDA’s top elected volunteer leader in 1990-92, Jerry Greer (deceased 2021) served as the first chairman of the RVDA Education Foundation (now the Mike Molino RV Learning Center) and the RV Assistance Corporation (RVAC). Jerry was inducted into the RV/MH Hall off Fame in 2005.

Barbara Herleman – RVDA staff member Barbara Herleman (deceased 2006) was dedicated to serving RVDA members in many capacities and was instrumental in growing the RV Dealers Convention/Expo in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Sharon Horsey – Sharon Horsey (deceased 2013) of Parkview RV Center was dedicated to her family and many friends in the RV industry. Sharon attended and volunteered at many RVDA events, including the RV Dealers Convention/Expo and her family remains deeply involved in association activities.

Jim Shields – Jim Shields (deceased 2014) of Pan Pacific RV Centers, served as RVDA Chairman of the Board in 2006-07 and was a founder of the California RV Dealers Association (CalRVDA). A mentor to many dealers, he was awarded the RVDA’s James B. Summers Award in 2013 and inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame in 2014. His family remains active in RVDA and CalRVDA.

Bob Strawn – Bob Strawn (deceased 2013) served as Executive Vice President and President of RVDA. Bob was a former RV dealer, who also served on the association’s board as a volunteer leader prior to his selection as RVDA’s chief staff officer. He was inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame in 1996.

Jim Summers – Jim Summers (deceased 2010) served as Executive Vice President of RVDA following a career as an RV manufacturing executive. Summers helped raise RVDA’s visibility in Washington, DC, and was a founding board member of the American Recreation Coalition. He was inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame in 2002.

Raymond Van Pelt – This legacy gift was established in tribute to Raymond Van Pelt (deceased 2011) the son of past RVDA President Fran Van Pelt and her husband Rich.

Fran Roberts – (deceased) Fran Roberts was the founder of Long View RV Superstores.

Carolyn Stinnett – (deceased) Carolyn Stinnett was the wife of Tom Stinnett, a past RVDA Chairman of the Board and founder of Tom Stinnett Derby City RV.
